Things continue to go well here. Amy is still feeling very good. The latest news is that we will be heading to meet with the doctors at Duke on Monday to talk about the bone marrow transplant.

  1. Lynn spent the month of July in Durham last year while attending Divinity School at Duke. He says there is a beautiful garden in between the hospital and the university connected by a long! walking trail. It is the "Sarah B. Duke Gardens" with ponds and all kinds of nature. Hopefully, one of your trips will allow an opportunity for you to visit the gardens and the Duke Chapel. The hospital south building borders one section of the gardens.
Glad you are having a good week!

  2. I'm grateful to the Father, but not surprised that you are feeling well all things considered. There are soooo many people lifting you up in prayer. We love you, ya know!

  3. We are praying for you and so proud of you! You are an amazing young woman...of course, we've known that for MANY years! :) I am especially enjoying hearing stories of those puppies! :) I LOVE to hear their latest antics. AND....Adam and I talked...we think you should do a wild new hair style! :) I understand that you have been advised to go red! Just remember....that we are lifting you and your family up...we love you and are praying.

Amy this is for you and all you still have to face. Kelly told me today that you are very brave and you will be going to Duke for consultation on the bonemarrow transplant. I heard they told you that you have a beautiful and perfect head for your new no hair style. You are in our prayers and everyone that knows you through your mom and dad or Michael's mom and dad are always asking about you.

  7. Good luck with the trip on Monday to Duke. Hopefully Amy will stay healthy so she can leave to go down there. If they get to do the work required for the donor search on Monday we will all pray that they will find an adequate donor in a timely fashion. I am not sure on what the time table needs to be but I know the Lord will watch over you all, as you are good people and he smiles down on us all. Remember as Paul said in Philippians as he was in Jail and was looking to the lord for answers, he wrote. “Rejoice in the Lord always, and I say again rejoice. Let all men know in moderation that the lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, and through prayer and thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And may the peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep Christ in your heart and Mind.” Philippians 4, (4-7) and remember “I can do all things in Christ, who strengthens me!” Philippians 4, (13). So take these comforting words and know that we can give our worries to the Lord and be comforted in the fact they he will make us strong enough to conquer our problems. Have a good weekend and God Bless!

    Thanks

  9. Hey Amy, I am from the old school and it has taken me a while to get on here!...however I am learning......You may or may not remember me...I worked with your Aunt Genie who has been so good keeping me informed on how you are doing along with me following the blog....Jerry (husband) played ball with your Granddad Clovis, who he says was a super athlete and guy!...I am excited and so thankful that you are doing well...I placed the ballons on the blog for our ID, so everytime you see them, know that when we are thinking of you (which is often)and sending up "ballons" to The Heavens asking our precious Lord to watch over and protect you...So with these ballons we are sending, know that we care about you and your family....Stay Srong...U R a trooper!!!!..Love to You, Michael, Kathy, Greg, Boo, Roberta, Your 2 little puppy dogs, Phyllis and all of your family and friends that love and care about you....:) Wanda & Jerry
