We finally got to the hotel a little after 7 tonight. It took a while to get everything taken care of that needed to be done at the hospital. She will have to report each morning at 8 to the cancer center. There they will do blood work each morning and examine her. Depending on the blood results they will treat accordingly (give blood, platelets, or anything else). She is very happy to be at the hotel tonight. It is definitely an emotional lift for her, which of course is the reason the doctors at UVA started doing this with leukemia patients. Hopefully she will be able to stay at the Red Roof Inn for a while. Just wanted to let everyone know that updates for the rest of the week may not come as often as I am going to be back in Indiana for a few days to work.

    Hey Amy,
    I'm so glad you are at the "Resort" now and have started the Path. I know you will do well, you have been so strong, and I'm so proud of you. You sounded so good on the phone, I could tell you felt better. I'll be glad to see you, but it's so hard not to hug you. Keep your chin up, now you can at least get out in the fresh air some.     Amy Lucy, I bet it sure is good being at the luxurious Red Roof Inn Resort and Spa,(at least Im sure it feels that way compared to rooms 3115 & 3120 east wing), Hey Michael, maybe you can get that "massage" there at the resorts spa to loosen up your muscles a bit.ha ha. Any way, I sure am glad you've gotten a change of scenery. Just lay back on that luxurious bed, breathe in a breath of non hospital air and relax. Michael, be careful on your trip to Ind. You know Kel and I are just a holler away if you need us for anything. And Amy, Greg and Kathy, the same goes for you guys. We love you guys, no strings attached. CHRIS

    I am "thrilled" you are able to get a break from the hospital and enjoy some new scenery. And, of course, so happy you are doing so well! Would like to know if you are still receiving mail at the hospital or elsewhere so maybe Michael or your Dad can let us know. I love you and think of you always.
