Amy has been feeling pretty good over the past few days. Monday night she started getting a rash that by Tuesday was basically covering her whole body. The doctor said he was not very concerned with it and that is was probably just a delayed reaction to some medicine. The rash has started to go away in the last day or so. Her blood counts are looking good and Dr. Densmore is very pleased with her progress. For those wanting to know where to send cards, etc, we are going to have things sent to Greg and Kathy's House since we are unsure of where Amy will be each day (hotel or hospital). Here is the address:

201 Buck Horn Trail
Clifton Forge, VA 24422

  1. Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys. If you need ANYTHING, please don't hesitate to let me know. I would even drive all the way over to you, Amy, just to throw magnets at a refrigerator. :) I might even be able to bring Devan, Josh, and Joe to watch Star Wars with you.

    Hang in there, sweetheart. <3

  4. Hey Amy,
Heard you got some more platelets today. Maybe your knees won't bruise as easily now. It was so good to see you yesterday, enjoyed just being with you, even though I could not touch you. My hugs go to you anyway. I let Roscoe and Winslow out for a good while today, then they went to the basement while I was doing something else and found a piece of bark which they had a good time chewing up, all over the rug. I knew something was entertaining them in the basement. It was windy and cold, and will be the same tomorrow, so they don't want to stay out very long. They send their love!!!
    I love you, Grandma

  6. Amy,
We have all just been cheering you on. It seems as though you are just doing great. We continue to think of you and send positive thoughts your way. My students thought it was so awesome that we could apply what we had learned. They felt honored that you shared your story with them.

    Savannah says "she loves you."

  8. Hey Amy, glad to hear you are feeling better. I just wanted you to know what an inspiration you were when I came down or should I say up to Charlottesville for my 6 day stay and chemo treatments. I was out of my comfort zone but when I arrived on 3 east I saw a familiar face(your Dad)we talked a while and he said you were just down the hall. Knowing someone from home was there and getting chemo helped make it more acceptable. Seeing you walking in the hall with your peskey pole encouraged me. I also benefited from your company. It was nice seeing Kelly & Chris and of course, Grandma(Phyllis).Your dad would check in on me when he came. I will continue my chemo here and in Roanoke but, my thoughts and prayers will be with you. So hang in there and I will be looking for the updates. I know mom & dad and Michael are taking good care of you. Larry

  9. Hi All,

It won't let me post on today's comments - sooo I will post on yesterday's - whatever.

We are continually thrilled to hear how well you (and Michael) are doing through all of this. Hear you have found a solution to those 'bad' hair days. I don't think I could convince Emily to try it though. Your new 'do' looks great. Ashley couldn't believe it was a wig - it looks so real she said. Ashley says for me to tell you 'Hi' and She's thinking about you.

    Take care ~ Michelle
