Hi everyone! After yesterday's depressing post I wanted to post some positive results. My white count dropped from 22.5 yesterday to 15.8 today!!! So something is working to control my Leukemia. This is a big relief for me.

I went to clinic again today to get more IV antibiotics and a treatment. The chemo treatment actually consists of two shots. They can give them in my arms or stomach and so far I've had two in each arm. However, my arms are getting sore so tomorrow I will probably get them in my stomach. I was nervous at first when they told they would be shots because the only shots I could remember having were tetanus and neupogen which both hurt. I hardly felt these little shots, the site just get sore later.

I'm still having some back pain which is controlled very well in clinic through IV Dilaudid however my oral medication doesn't cut it quite as well. They are working on adjusting my pain medications so hopefully that will get better

Thank you to all of you who continue to pray for comfort and the for the effectiveness of these treatments, much love to you all!
Amy

  8. Great to hear that you are feeling better. It was hard to read your last post and my mind went instantly to Psalm 23. I hope that you guys have had a good weekend. Your mom is a great mother role model for us moms that are just starting out.

Teagan Translation: Hey Amy! I am going to tattle on your little boys. One of them got loose from Granny and Grandaddy the other day and ran past me like a brown blur and I screamed a little. Don't tell my dad, he doesn't want me to be a sissy, whiny girl. I like your doggies, but just when I get to see them on my terms. I have a new baby cousin, Sophie. She is a princess, but daddy says I might push her in the mud one day. (If I listen to my daddy, I am going to be in trouble!) I am going to try to get mom to send you a video of all my latest antics. I can even call up a turkey now. Well gotta go before mom catches me on the computer. It seems I always have messy or sticky fingers when I use the computer. Love ya, Teagan

Was that girl on here again? I thought I felt sticky fingers. Well I better go. Gotta get some rest before dealing with all those kids at school. Love you everybody down there in Carolina. Love Joleen

  9. Hey Amy,
It is very late and I am reflecting on how this Mother's Day has been so quiet and calm on this beautiful Lord's Day. I have thought about you and talked about you so much today. There are friends here that know you that don't even know you, if you know what I mean. You are so special and so amazing to me. The words you write on your blog are so indicative of your beautiful spirit and I just wanted to write and tell you how much I love you. Continue to have the good days you are having and enjoy your visit with your Grandma tomorrow. I will see you soon. Love Your Aunt Robbie
