Good news - I'm out of the hospital and it feels wonderful! This seemed like the longest hospital stay to me so being out is really lifting my spirits. The schedule for the bone marrow transplant has been pushed back due to some conflicts with the donor. As of now I'm scheduled to go into the hospital on May 30 and get the transplant June 6 (my birthday). This will give me quite some time out of the hospital to regain my strength and get mentally ready for the transplant. Although I was looking forward to getting the process started I think these few weeks out will do me a lot of good. The only concern is that the Leukemia will come back during this time but we're hoping and praying hard that it doesn't.

As always I can't thank you all enough for the support and prayers,
Amy

  4. Amy it's wonderful to hear you are out of the hospital! When you are in there, its mentally exhausting even if you aren't really doing anything. It surely takes it's toll on your mind and body. Hopefully being out will give you some time to get ready for the transplant. I hope and pray your cell counts stay where they need to be for you to be able to have the transplant! Love & Prayers!

  10. Hey Amy, this is wonderful news!....To be out of the hospital and to be home....I bet you feel like a free woman!!!! not to mention some home cooked food!...I know nothing about how and what you are going through works and the procedures....however like you, I am thinking this is good too... build up some strength and just the R&R has to be a big plus!!!! I missed keeping up with you while gone, but as soon as I could, I got on here and was checking on you....I admire you and how you are coping with all of this....keeping U and the rest of your family in our prayers ....I never under estimate the power of prayer!!!....hope U are having a good day......take care, Wanda & Jerry...:)
