GREAT NEWS TODAY!!! We can officially use the word remission! We got the results from Tuesday's bone marrow biopsy and there were absolutely no signs of leukemia. This allows us to move forward with the plans for the bone marrow transplant (to have a bone marrow transplant you must be in remission). All other plans stay the same, I will go in the hospital on Tuesday for a 5 day chemo treatment to keep me in remission.

Hope everyone is having a great day,

Amy

  1. WHAT FANTISTIC NEWS!!!!!...and yes after hearing this Jerry and I are having a great day and thank you for caring.....Amy, I am so happy for you, and your family....my eyes went straight to that one word "Remission!"...I yelled out a "war hoop" and Jerry about flipped off the couch!..he is watching the Masters and had no idea what was going on,....when I read your posting to him, we both just felt a calmness that I can't explain...I just know in my heart that you are in the palm of HIS hand and HE will see you through this....Hey, now I have one more thing...get to bed early Saturday night, because the EASTER BUNNY will be on his way!!!!...Take care, and I know your Easter will be a special one, because of HIM we can face tomorrow!..Love and take care, Wanda and Jerry

  2. Hallelujah! This is the time of year to shout hallelujah, and also because of REMISSION. You don't know how good that makes us in VA feel, we are pulling so hard for you. God is in control, and you are on your way to getting leukemia behind you. What a special time to find all of this out. God is good...all the time. Happy Easter!, mine will be happier now.
    I love you...Grandma

  18. It looks like all the yeahs, woohoos, and allelujas have been taken. Praise to the Lord is definitely the words for this fabulous health report.. You have worked so hard for this news. I know you are starting another round of chemo which is never good. Hang in there. Of course, this is easy for me to say. You are the one taking the hits.
I am so impressed that your body can fight this disease and you can still maintain that happy sound in your emails.
    Good luck with this week.
    Maryanne
