I thought I would post a quick update about my blood work this morning. My platelets dropped a little more but didn't drop as much as the last few times. Again, they think this is caused by medication and said that the medication I stopped taking would take a few weeks to get out of my system. So no worries at this point. I actually see Dr. Rizzieri on Wednesday so there may be more news then.

Michael is off to the Duke basketball game tonight (thanks to Tammy for getting the tickets). Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Amy

  1. Hi there Pretty Lady,
It's always good to read your notes, Amy. We are praying that the platelet count reverses very soon. Everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving. We ALL have so many blessings to give thanks for.

  2. Hi Amy & Michael,
Well, those platelets are being a little stubborn, but that will change in time. I'm glad you will see the Dr., he always tells you how terrific you are doing. I hope you are enjoying some pretty weather like we are having. I miss you and hope to see you next week.
    Love you both,
    Grandma

  6. how's our favorite patient coming along?????? hope everything will fall into place real soon for you so i can send yall on your trip.....the carribean needs some tourists and i'm sure yall could use a vacation....hope you got your care package last week......i always wonder since the incident......you don't know about the incident?????? about 15 years ago....we had recently moved up in the mountains of south carolina and were expecting a package from hal and lynda......they were sending us a spiral sliced honey baked ham for the holidays....a delightful gift......a thoughtful gift......
unfortunately....the u.p.s. guy had his head up his own ass......he brought the ham up into the mountains and in a hurry; just left it on the rocking chair on the front porch and drove off into the sunset....probably to get home in time to watch oprah.......to make a long story shorter......we got home several hours later to find all the neighborhood critters on the porch licking their chops waiting for dessert....our two yellow labs, some neighborhood mutts, a couple raccoons...a homeless guy or two....
laugh if you must but it wasn't funny!!!!!! ok maybe a little bit.....blair thought it was hilarious.......she just laughed and laughed inside her virginia tech hokie mascot outfit!!!!
it was probably more of an ensemble than a outfit????? but that one is potato--potatoe...
if you know what i mean......i'm ramblin now sooooooo....... have a great thanksgiving and remember.....somebody in south carolina loves ya
